Modern dishwashers are known for their complex functions and features, which means that the fault could be mechanical or electronic. You can do things like cleaning your dishwasher to help maintain the unit, but that doesn’t mean that issues won’t pop up from time to time. The first thing to remember is to check your water and power supply before calling a technician. If both are working properly, then the fault is most likely with the dishwasher. Here are some common issues that could be negatively impacting your washer:

  • The pump is not working properly

Common KitchenAid Oven Issues

Ovens are pretty durable appliances overall. That being said, it is not immune from small and big issues. You can do things like cleaning your oven regularly and inspecting your oven regularly, but issues will pop up from time to time. Luckily, our KitchenAid technicians are only a phone call away. We can fix any issue with your oven, including:

  • Temperature regulation issues
  • Oven won’t turn on
  • KitchenAid Oven is not cooking meals properly
  • The door is not aligned properly
  • The door does not close properly
  • KitchenAid oven interior light is not working
  • Oven won't heat to the right temperature

It’s recommended that you check your KitchenAid electric supply before calling a technician. If the power supply for your oven is in order, then the problem is best determined by a professional.

Common KitchenAid Error Codes and their Descriptions

• F1/E1: Control Board Failure
If your oven's control board is unresponsive, unplug the power cable from the outlet and check the control board wiring for any loose or damaged wires. If wires are damaged, or if there is no damage and your control panel is still unresponsive, consider replacing the main control board.

• F2/E0: User Interface Is Nonresponsive
Disconnect the oven from the power supply and open up the control panel and check it for any loose or damaged wiring connections. If you notice damage, consider replacing the user interface's wiring harness. If there is no damage to the wiring connections, then you may have to replace your user interface fully.

• F3: Oven Temperature Sensor Is Defective
Using a volt/ohm meter, measure the upper oven temperature sensor resistance. Disconnect the oven from its power supply. Reconnect any loose wires on the oven temperature sensor. If the resistance isn't 1080 ohms at 70F, replace the oven temperature sensor. If the sensor and wire harness are okay, replace the electronic oven control board.

• F5: Oven Door Lock Assembly Isn't Functioning
Disconnect the oven from its power supply and reconnect any loose wiring on the oven's door lock assembly if there is any. Replace the wiring harness if there are damages done to the wiring. If the wiring is okay, replace the oven door lock assembly.

• F6: Too Hot In Clean Mode
It is important to replace an oven element that heats when it is off (indicating a short to the cabinet). Disconnect the electrical power to the oven and allow it to cool to room temperature if it overheats only when in use. If the elements are damaged, replace the electronic oven control board. If the elements are fine, replace the oven heating element.
